Né en Ukraine en 1963, Kim Tkatch a étudié la peinture à l'institut des beaux arts de Kiev (1983-1988). Ses peintures plus tôt ont exprimé des sentiments « mystiques » par les modèles cachés et les figures mythiques. Dans les années '90, Tkatch a immigré en Israël où son style de peinture a commencé à changer.
Aujourd'hui ses peintures ont une perspective plus réaliste bien que son travail ait un talent magique. Ses peintures de l'encore-vie viennent vivant avec des juxtapositions d'architecture, de sculpture ou de paysage de méditerranéens. Il est évident que Tkatch comprenne le potentiel exubérant de ses sujets. Il emploie sa propension en tant qu'illustrateur d'offrir à la visionneuse une nouvelle perspicacité décorative dans la beauté d'un bouquet des fleurs, du canal grand à Venise, ou des figures femelles flânant sur une terrasse méditerranéenne.

Born in the Ukraine in 1963, Kim Tkach studied Fine Arts at the Kiev Art Institute (1983-1988). His earlier paintings expressed "mystical" feelings through cryptic patterns and mythical figures. In the early nineties, Tkach immigrated to Israel where his style began to change.
Today his paintings have a more realistic perspective although his work has a magical flair. His still-life paintings come alive with juxtapositions of architecture, sculpture or Mediterranean vistas. It is obvious that Tkach understands the exuberant potential of his subjects. He uses his propensity as an illustrator to offer the viewer a new decorative insight into the beauty of a bouquet of flowers, the Grand Canal in Venice, or female figures lounging on a Mediterranean terrace.
His paintings have been exhibited in Israel, the United States, Russia, England, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Austria and Australia. A prolific artist, his works can be found in private collections world-wide.
